My family has been baking since I was a baby. I grew up in the flat above the bakery, went to school and got married from there.
I remember being lulled to sleep by the muffled sound of machinery and waking to the smell of fresh baking.

Our history


My childhood in the bakery was shared with many family members who worked there at different times, and long serving staff whom I regarded as family!

My husband Robert has worked at the bakery since a teenager. After finishing our studies at college in London, we were drawn back to Cornwall and the baking business

Our business was started by Liliam Barryman 45 years ago.
She is pictured here with her husband Ray.

We are proud of our family businnes and our aim has always been to retain the family feel of the bakery whilst growing and developing according to the needs of the time.
